Share your vision
City Hall wants regular Parkites to help chart a new vision for the community, and officials have drafted a consultant from the East Coast to assist. There will be competing camps as the discussions unfold, with some wanting growth to subside and others desiring new development to keep Park City a top-shelf resort. What is your vision of Park City's future, and do you think City Hall will agree?

My opinion is this... if Park City wants to remain the attraction that it is,it needs to preserve the old town, buildings and atmosphere as much as possible. People can go anywhere to see the new everyday stuff. The old Mine town to ski town is what sets us apart.

I have to admit, as a resident of Park City since 1978, and now a licensed Architect, I am disappointed to hear that the our beloved city has sought the services from an artist on the EAST COAST to help envision what Park City should become. Park City has a wealth of local talent within it's boundary, and should be seeking the vision of those local enough to know and enjoy the vernacular and aesthetic that this town has often fought to maintain.

gold bullion - what kind of spammer!!!!?????!!!!!
I agree wholeheartedly with what "Anonymous said" regarding keeping Park City as it is! Park City does not need any more development. It's already OVER developed.
Additionally, I agree with the anonymous Architect. There are plenty of locally talented folks and it was a waste of money to a city who is proposing to raise property taxes to hire someone from the East Coast to do anything for them.
Why is city hall bringing in someone from out of town and spending tax payer money for this? Don't we already have a zoning board? Don't we have public meetings on this kind of thing where people can ask our elected officials what they are going to do? Or is city hall just trying to avoid public scrutiny by bringing in someone who is totally unaccountable to the public?
I think it's definately time to get the incumbents out and get some conservitaves who will answer to the people.
There a reason the "Liberal East Coast" is so mesed up...thats why they move here, dont't ruin this town any further. Resident since 1973. Go home hollywood, i do what it takes to get an Oscar from God.
