Film Festival Frenzy
It is Film Festival week in Park City and the buzz is deafening. Whether you are a filmmaker or an enthusiastic audience member please take a sec to tell us about your festival experiences. Juust add your comments below.
This so called film festival is a joke. It has become nothing more than a spring break/Bush bashing contest by those on the extreme left that suffer from "Bush Derrangement Syndrome." As someone who lives in Park City, I do like how these whackos in this "feak show" come here and spend their money in our town and stimulate the local economy. If you are a local, there are some places that you can avoid these "lefties" if one does have to stay in town. One place is the ski slopes. This crowd does not ski, so the slopes can be a refuge. Go to restaruants that serve red meat. This crowd eats tofu and garden sprouts. If you really want to get away from them make sure you go to church. You will never find this crowd there. I look forward to when they all go back home to "LaLa Land." This town has enough "loons" on the left as it is.
Robert you need to take a reality check --- in case you haven't noticed no one cares about Bush anymore (did you see the state of the union - can you say LAME(duck))-- November can't come to soon!! Yes Robert Bush Bashers are among you!
The festival is one of the highlights Park City --- 10 days of celebrating not just film but our resort town and the people that live here. I drove a cab during the festival and I can't tell you how many compliments those "wackos" gave to the residents of our town. So next time you feel the need to flex your Right Wing macho mouth you might want to check the engine that drives this town --- TOURISTS!!! Even the tofu eating ones!!!
Hats off to all the volunteers who braved the cold and made this years Sundance the best ever!!!
The Park Record is 125 years old and its mission is basically unchanged -- to chronicle local history as it unfolds, to stimulate debate on current issues and to help citizens guide the future of their communities. As editor of The Park Record for the past 12 years I have seen some amazing changes in the tools available to us to achieve those goals. A blog seemed to be a great new way to add to the ongoing dialog that is so important to a healthy democracy. Thanks for logging on and for your thoughtful comments. --Nan Chalat-Noaker, Jan. 1, 2006
